Indoctrination is a collection of songs released throughout the first half of 2018. The songs were experimental, as The Fair Attempts’ characteristic sound was emerging. Friendly Timo sought to create electronic music that’s gritty and edgy, but pop and dance at the same time.
Each song is also commentary on the state of society as it was during that time. He explored topics ranging from social and mental programming, duplicitous politicians, spying smart TVs, and of course the narrative regarding the claims of a Novichok attack in Great Britain that year. These songs include voice samples relating to each subject addressed in them.
This collection is essentially a demo that set the stage for The Fair Attempts to peer into a dark, dystopian future like scrying with a black mirror.
